The woman behind The Awakening Mama

Tatiana Ansari.

I’m Tatiana Ansari, creator of The Awakening Mama. I studied biochemistry at UCLA and earned a Master of Business & Science with Dean’s Honors from Keck Graduate Institute. Before creating this spiritual support practice, I built a career in biotechnology and diagnostics. Today I share personal reflections on faith, spiritual awakening, and motherhood, and offer spiritual services for adults. I am not a licensed psychotherapist, and psychotherapy is not currently offered here.

I created The Awakening Mama for people whose transformation does not fit neatly into one category. Here, the emotional, physical, relational, ancestral, and spiritual parts of your experience are invited into the same honest conversation.

Why this name

Motherhood gave my awakening its name.

Why The Awakening Mama?

The name comes from my story—not from a limit on who belongs here.

My spiritual awakening began after I had become a mother. I was moving through profound inner change while caring for children, holding a family, and meeting the responsibilities of everyday life. I understand how disorienting and demanding that can be for an adult who is also a parent.

This work is for adults.

Women and men, parents and non-parents, are welcome. I do not work directly with children.

An interfaith practice

Your faith is welcome here.

I welcome adults from every religious and spiritual tradition—and people who are still finding their language for faith. In our work, I follow the sacred language that is meaningful to you: God, Allah, Jesus, or another name within your tradition. You do not need to leave your beliefs or adopt mine.

A foundational principle

Your relationship with God is your own.

I do not identify as a medium or claim authority to speak for God, and I do not want you to depend on me. During Angel Therapy, intuitive impressions or messages may arise through prayer and angelic practice. I offer them as possibilities for reflection—not as commands, certain predictions, or a replacement for your own discernment. I believe genuine divine guidance is loving, encouraging, and oriented toward hope, even when it invites serious reflection. I will not present threatening, fear-based, doomsday, or coercive messages as guidance from God.

How I work—and where this practice is going

Four connected areas of wellbeing.

I see wellbeing through four connected areas: spiritual and energy work, the body and nervous system, psychological support, and medical care. I currently work with energy and spiritual practices, I am developing toward somatics and psychotherapy, and each person remains responsible for appropriate medical care with licensed clinicians.

Energy & spiritual work

My present work includes prayer, angel therapy, energy practices, spiritual cleansing, and reflection on personal, relational, and inherited patterns.

Somatic integration

I am moving toward formal somatic education so future work can include evidence-informed attention to the nervous system, sensation, regulation, and embodied experience.

Psychotherapy & cognitive work

Psychotherapy and cognitive work are not currently provided through this practice. Any future clinical work would require appropriate graduate education, supervision, and licensure.

Medical care & physical health

Your medical care remains your responsibility and belongs with licensed clinicians. I encourage preventive care and conversations with a health professional about symptoms, screening or laboratory tests appropriate to your age, health, family history, and risk, as well as medications, sleep, movement, nutrition, and rest.

In current sessions I may offer spiritual practices and simple grounding or reflection, but not psychotherapy, somatic therapy, medical diagnosis, or treatment. When a need falls outside my scope, I will name that limit and recommend an appropriate licensed professional.

Kundalini & Spiritual Awakening Support

A compassionate space to speak openly about an awakening experience—especially when you feel misunderstood, overwhelmed, or alone.

I offer this support from lived experience. I once considered myself an atheist; spiritual awakening changed my life, and I am still walking and discerning my own path. I will not claim to know what God is saying to you. My role is to listen, help you stay grounded, and support your own direct relationship with God.

Discernment before spiritual guidance

Before we work together, I send a screening questionnaire about your experience, sleep, daily functioning, support system, health history, and safety. It helps determine whether this spiritual service is an appropriate fit; it cannot diagnose or confirm a Kundalini awakening.

If your answers suggest that medical or mental-health evaluation may be needed, I will pause spiritual work and recommend a licensed clinician, psychiatrist, or urgent support. I do not diagnose psychological disorders.

The work is growing

A future home for psychotherapy and somatic integration

Tatiana is moving toward formal clinical counseling work that can integrate psychological depth, nervous-system awareness, motherhood, culture, and spirituality. Psychotherapy is not currently offered through this site.

A thoughtful beginning

This work begins before the session.

An inquiry is not an automatic booking. I review each request personally to protect your wellbeing, the integrity of the work, and our mutual fit.

  1. 01

    Inquiry

Tell me what brings you here and which offering interests you.

  2. 02

    Readiness

Complete a short reflection about your intention, patterns, and willingness to act.

  3. 03

    Discernment

I review whether the request is within my spiritual scope and whether we are a safe fit.

  4. 04

    Preparation

If your inquiry is accepted, I send the preparation assigned for your situation—such as a prayer, reflection, lecture, meditation, or practical commitment.

  5. 05

    Session

If accepted, you receive a private invitation to reserve and pay for your session.

  6. 06

    Integration

Leave with reflection prompts, grounded next steps, and a short follow-up when included.

Before you inquire

Come willing—not perfect.

This work is for adults willing to look honestly at their choices, complete preparation, respect boundaries, and make practical changes alongside spiritual work.

  • I am willing to complete preparation before my session.
  • I understand that no outcome can be promised.
  • I will continue appropriate medical, psychological, or recovery care.
  • I am prepared to take concrete action in my daily life.

Your first practice

Four questions to sit with.

  1. What do I genuinely hope will change?
  2. What part of this situation is within my control?
  3. What pattern or behavior may be reinforcing it?
  4. What three actions am I willing to take in the next 30 days?

Russian-speaking clients may also receive selected lectures or meditations. English-speaking clients receive equivalent reflection and grounding material.

Reservation & payment

Every displayed price is the full session price. After your inquiry is accepted, a 50% deposit is required to reserve the session and is applied toward the total price; the remaining 50% is due immediately after the session. One reschedule is available with at least 24 hours’ notice; late cancellations and no-shows are nonrefundable.

Online or San Diego

In-person sessions take place only in a pre-approved neutral professional space in San Diego—never in the client’s home or Tatiana’s. After acceptance, the client reserves and pays for the space. This practical commitment helps confirm readiness for the work.

Spiritual scope

These services do not treat addiction, mental illness, trauma, or medical conditions. Active crisis, withdrawal, uncontrolled substance use, or severe psychological symptoms require licensed or emergency care.

Confidentiality & sacred trust

What you share in an accepted session is treated as private and handled with care. Before the work begins, confidentiality terms are provided in writing. I receive each person’s story as a sacred trust before God; protecting it is both a professional commitment and a spiritual responsibility. Information is not shared without your written permission, except when disclosure is required by law or necessary to respond to an immediate risk of serious harm. This commitment is contractual and spiritual; it is not psychotherapist–patient privilege or HIPAA protection.

Read the reflection

It is hard to trust when you cannot see the whole picture.

Sometimes I think the hardest part of faith is not praying. It is continuing to move forward when God does not show you the whole plan.

When you do not understand the pause. The delay. The “not yet.” When something inside tells you to keep going, but there is still no evidence on the outside.

More and more, I feel that a life led by God is not one in which you know everything. It is one in which you hear only the next step.

Not the whole road.
Not the entire route.
Not the final picture.

Just a quiet voice within:
“Don’t rush.”
“Come this way.”
“Let this go.”
“This is yours.”

And you go.

Sometimes with faith. Sometimes with fear. Sometimes thinking, “God, I do not understand what is happening.”

But you keep going anyway.

Maybe trust is not feeling calm. Maybe it is still choosing God, even when you are afraid.

I keep returning to the phrase “our thoughts create our reality.” It can be meant as encouragement: what we focus on may shape what we notice, how we feel, and the choices we make.

But taken literally, the phrase can become frightening. For someone living with anxiety, thoughts may loop without invitation—replaying a worry, imagining a worst-case scenario, or asking the same unanswerable question again and again. People experiencing depression may also face painful thoughts that feel heavy and difficult to shift.

If every thought is treated as something that could come true, a person may start monitoring their mind: “Was that too negative? What if I made it happen? How do I stop thinking this?” That kind of self-surveillance can add another layer of tension to an already difficult experience.

A thought can influence our attention, feelings, and actions. That is different from saying that every passing thought is an intention, a prayer, a prediction, or a command that makes the universe produce an event. Unwanted thoughts are not a person’s wishes or moral failures.

Life also includes circumstances no one can control. Illness, loss, conflict, and sudden changes are not proof that someone failed to think positively enough or caused hardship by having the wrong thought.

In my understanding of faith, God is the Creator; a human being is not responsible for controlling every outcome with the mind. We can pray, hope, make choices, and take the next practical step while leaving room for God’s will and for what we cannot know.

I do not want spirituality to become another reason for people to fear their own minds. A thought can pass through without defining a person or deciding their future. It can simply be a thought—and there can still be room for God, life, and the unknown.

If anxious or depressive thoughts are making daily life harder, compassionate support is available. Talking with a qualified mental-health professional can be one grounded way to seek help; it does not take anything away from a person’s faith.

We can care for the thoughts we have without believing we must control everything they might mean.

When Gratitude Grows From Love

When Gratitude Grows From Love

A late-night reflection on gratitude, loving God, and the tenderness of holding my baby.

A reflection on gratitude and love

1 / 9
Slide 1: Gratitude doesn’t have to be forced
Slide 2: I thought I had to feel grateful
Slide 3: I tried to create gratitude
Slide 4: Maybe gratitude is a fruit
Slide 5: I was rocking Rayaan at night
Slide 6: Then I thought about God’s love
Slide 7: For me, God is closeness
Slide 8: When the heart grows
Slide 9: I just want to share

Last night, while rocking Rayaan, I found myself thinking about gratitude in a different way. For a long time, I tried to practice it deliberately—to notice what was already here and to say thank you. I’m grateful I learned to notice more of the good around me. But I also wondered whether gratitude might not be something we have to manufacture. For me, it may grow naturally from love and from a lifelong relationship with God. This is simply a personal reflection from one quiet, tired night with my baby—not a rule about what anyone else should feel or believe.
